Taking place at the natural wine bar’s North Street venue on Saturday 26 April (2-6pm), the one-afternoon fair will bring together five indie importers and their favourite bottles for the season ahead. Expect a laid-back, pour-as-you-go format with chilled reds, fresh whites, vibrant pét-nats, and the kind of skin-contact wines that get talked about long after the bottle’s finished.

Every wine on show has been handpicked by importers who’ve walked the vineyards, met the winemakers, and – in many cases – helped bring in the harvest themselves. They'll be pouring and chatting throughout the afternoon, sharing stories behind the bottles and the regions they come from.

Guests will also be invited to help shape KASK’s next wine list, with feedback on the day directly influencing what’s poured by the glass this spring and summer.

There are two ways to get involved:

  • £40 for full access to taste all 40 wines
  • £3 per glass, for those who’d rather pick and choose

Kicking off the afternoon will be Bristol nightlife icon DJ Jon Leisure, who’ll be spinning a two-hour set from 2pm to keep the energy high and the corks popping.

Importers taking part include Bristol’s own Spiegel & Peach (wines from Spain and France) and; Danube Wines (Hungary and Romania); Wines Under The Bonnet (England and France); VinAnima (Italy); and The Jolly Merchants (Slovenia and Bulgaria) – each bringing bottles that are as expressive as the winemakers behind them.

Charlie Taylor, co-owner of KASK, said: “Spring Fling is our way of inviting guests into the kind of experience we usually only get at trade tastings – where we taste through loads of wines, meet the importers and discover what’s going to shape our next list. It’s informal, flavour-packed and a real celebration of the wines we’re excited to drink right now. The feedback we get on the day won’t just be noted – it’ll help guide what ends up on our menu and we’ll be holding a repeat of the fair in the Autumn to bring in that season’s wines too”

Whether you’re curious about natural wine, an absolute obsessive, or just after a good afternoon out, Spring Fling is set to be a playful, unpretentious celebration of wine, community and great music.
