Meet Bristol & Bath is the official Convention Bureau for Bristol, Bath, and their surrounding areas. The key objective is to promote the region as a first-class business event and incentive travel destinations. This is delivered through digital campaigns, attendance at industry trade events, the organisation of destination fam trips, plus other pro-active sales activities. The bureau work year-round to maintain a good knowledge of industry trends and generate business event enquires for the destinations.
Continuous research and support for the development of the destinations offer to the Corporate, Association and Incentive markets is provided, with a focus on working closely with Convention Bureau members to create attractive proposals for each target market.
Collaboration is key when marketing venues and event services within the wider destination offer. Therefore, a strong focus on building productive working relationships with businesses within the region who wish to attract conferences and events is crucial. So is the relationship with local and industry stakeholders and academics when bidding for conference business linked to the region’s economic sector strengths.
The Convention Bureau team offer a multitude of free services to event planners to support and encourage them to bring their events to the region.

- Venue finding. We create a multi venue, event proposal outlining available venues, price points and access details.
- Group accommodation finding service. We negotiate rates, secure bedroom allocations, and can create a bespoke web page for delegates to book their accommodation from.
- Arrangement of venue and destination familiarisation visits.
- Sourcing conference partner organisations and suppliers.
- Connections with local conference ambassadors.
- Suggesting social/partner programmes.
- Supply of destination images and local maps.
