One of the ways in which we track the performance of the region’s visitor economy is through our monthly business barometer. With some categories going back to 1999, this measure shows trends and visits in a way that can help with narrative about the performance of the sector together with adding to the national research.
VisitBritain publish a series of results each year through the Great British Day visit survey, the Great British Tourism survey and the International Passenger survey. By overlaying with our own data, we are able to ensure that the region is best represented.
