Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset has launched a brand-new website, designed to provide a more engaging and intuitive user experience that enhances the way visitors interact with the Museum online.

With over 70% of users to the website using mobile phones, a responsive, mobile-first approach was essential, ensuring a user-friendly, visually appealing experience that prioritises ease of navigation across all devices.

This new website enhances accessibility and establishes the Museum’s commitment to delivering its charitable aims. The site also provides a platform for multi-purpose use and enable more streamlined access to book tickets. As well as improved day planning, users will have better access to information about venue hire, learning experiences and opportunities to find out more about the Museum’s historic collection.

The new site will further strengthen our digital reach acting as a go to resource for visitors and motoring enthusiasts but also provide an improved channel for support with marketing campaign activity.”

We’re delighted to have a dynamic platform that reflects our ambitions and makes engaging with the Museum more accessible than ever," he added.

The new website also presents an opportunity to integrate the Museum's trading arms, including the classic car restoration workshop - Haynes Heritage Engineering, the Conference and Events suite, and the upcoming Classic Motor Show, The John Haynes Classic.

This sophisticated site was built using a system called LOOP, developed by digital agency, Semantic - a company with experience in delivering websites for museums and heritage brands, making it the perfect fit.

Neil Lewin, Owner of Semantic said: "Haynes Motor Museum needed a high-quality website to reflect its world-class visitor experience and diverse mix of guests. By making use of features and modules designed specifically for museums and heritage attractions, we worked together to bring the motor museum and its sister brands to life online, all in one scalable system.

As well as a fast, efficient rollout, regular LOOP updates and new features will ensure that their website stays fresh and evolves with their needs, without the cost and hassle of custom development," he added.

Founded as an independent registered charity by the successful automotive publisher, John Haynes OBE, Haynes Motor Museum has been the custodian of a unique and eclectic collection of vehicles since 1985.

Housed within 15 exhibition spaces, the Museum showcases more than 300 vehicles and automotive memorabilia. From the earliest modes of motorised car in 1898 to the cutting-edge vehicles of today, the Museum tells the stories behind the people who designed them, made them and drove them and reflects on their impact on society.

As an independent charity all proceeds made go towards delivering learning activities to inspire current and future generations as well as conserving and preserving our motoring heritage collection.
