This April Bristol Aquarium is exploring all things dinosaur with their Titans of Time theme.

Visitors who want to dive deeper into the subject of prehistoric sea life will be able to attend a free talk on the subject on Saturday 26 April at 2pm.

Suitable for aquarium visitors aged 8 and above, this special one-off talk will take visitors on a journey through our underwater worlds from the dawn of life, up to the present day.

Visitors will be learning all about life throughout different aquatic environments and getting to know some of the 'titans' to have evolved from the many animal lineages in these habitats.

The talk will explore their evolutionary roots, what made them so finely adapted to their respective niches, and why they are no longer with us.

As well as deep sea creatures, the talk will also explore beelzebufo, a giant prehistoric frog that could grow to 41 centimetres in length, that’s a frog about the size of a darts board!

The talk will finish off by talking about how important it is to value our modern-day oceans, and what we stand to lose if we do not take action, as well as a short Q&A.

This talk is free to attend, instead visitors are encouraged to make a donation to Froglife, a charity which supports the conservation of UK’s reptile and amphibian species and their associated habitats.

This talk will be taking place in the Bristol Megascreen.

Bristol Aquarium is situated on the historic harbourside and takes visitors on an underwater adventure through the world’s oceans. For more information and to purchase tickets visit www.bristolaquarium.co.uk or call 0117 929 8929.
