The children will be taking over The Helicopter Museum later this month when the Heli-Kids day takes place on Sunday 23 February.
“Heli-Kids is an interactive day for our younger visitors,” explained Museum Assistant Manager Jess Porter, “there will be a character hunt, special touch and feel exhibit tables, colouring stations and children's bespoke tours, all aimed at engaging our much younger visitors with the world of helicopters and vertical flight.”
“As well as a wide variety of open cockpits for our young visitors to explore there will also be heli-craft tables and the chance to try on a selection of historical pilots helmets.”
Other child friendly activities include interactive Air/Sea Rescue winch and harness demonstrations and the opportunity to sit in the pilots seat of the only helicopter in the museum that has been flown by a Marvel Super Hero.
Activities take place between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 23 February.
