Volunteers at Shop Mobility

We are very pleased to announce that Bristol Shopmobility will reopen on Monday 6 January. W/c 6 January, we will be open on Monday and Thursday, 10am-4:30pm, and from w/c 13 January, we will be open every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10am-4:30pm.

Our aim is to open six days a week as soon as possible, but for that we need your help.

Due to long term staff sickness, we are seeking volunteers to assist with the overall organisation and day to day running of the Bristol Shopmobility Scheme.  Any time you can offer would be appreciated. Expenses and training will be given and a DBS check will be carried out.

Ideally, a volunteer would undertake at least one of the following:

1. Meet and greet service users.
2. Establish and provide suitable equipment (after training).
3. Give guidance on the safe usage of equipment to service users.
4. Maintain equipment in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
5. Maintain and update computer records (after training).

Of course you would need to be able:

1. To observe and work within the Health and Safety requirements
2. To follow and adhere to Bristol Shopmobility Equal Opportunities Policy
3. To be aware of and ensure compliance with all relevant Bristol Shopmobility policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.

Ideally applicants would commit to regular hours each week over a six month period.
