Individuals across Bristol, Bath and the wider region have been recognised in The King's 2025 New Year Honours. 

Bristol

Helen Holland - The former councillor for Hartcliffe & Withywood from 1991 to 2024, the city's longest-serving councillor at the time she stepped down, received an MBE for services to local government and the community. Helen Holland was also instrumental in setting up the Bristol Tourism & Conference Bureau, the forerunner of Destination Bristol and Visit West, and served on the Board and as co-chair for several years.

Dr Julie Vanessa Blake & Dr Timothy Francis John Shortis - The two co-directors of national schools poetry recital competition 'Poetry by Heart' received MBEs for services to education. 

Bath & North East Somerset 

Fiona Ann Pollard - The member of The Roman Baths' Board and VisitEngland's Advisory Board received a CBE for services to tourism.

Nicola Beauman - The founder of Bath-based publisher and bookseller Persephone Books received an OBE for services to publishing.

Timothy Charles Cantell - The former director of Bath Preservation Trust from 1992-1999 received an MBE for services to heritage and the environment.
