A grand day out awaits this winter as Cabot Circus is set to host a brand new immersive adventure for families, friends and Aardman fanatics - with tickets on sale from Tuesday 1 October.

Cabot Circus presents Wallace & Grommit a cracking Christmas Experience 16 November to 24 December Book now

This Christmas, Bristol’s favourite duo, Wallace and Gromit, are back in action and ready to serve up some family fun and holiday cheer. From Saturday 16 November to Tuesday 24 December, Cabot Circus will host Wallace & Gromit: A Cracking Christmas Experience, a one-of-a-kind festive event full of invention!

The Friary Building in Quakers Friars at Cabot Circus has been transformed into a festive experience, where fans can help Wallace save Christmas by getting his latest gadget - the Christmas-O-Matic - up and running in the St. Nick-of-time. With a sprinkling of festive spirit, a dash of Christmas-chaos and all the cheesy fun you’d expect from Bristol’s much-loved pair, A Cracking Christmas Experience should be at the top of any Christmas to-do list this holiday season.

Once the mission is complete, the new-found Christmas heroes will be welcomed into the Cracking Christmas Cafe. This pop-up festive café set in the stunning Friary building will be open to all, including man’s best friend as the perfect pit-stop after your Christmas shopping to grab an essential cheese sandwich, cakes, a cracking cup of tea and delicious dog-treats and puppuccinos for all furry companions.

As with the walk-through immersive experience, Cabot Circus is calling upon families and friends to help save the day and fix Wallace’s wacky-holiday-engineering, with tickets on sale from Tuesday 1 October on EventBrite for £7.50 plus fees

Cabot Circus will also be cracking open the Christmas spirit with its annual Giving Tree. Located under the iconic glass dome, the Giving Tree is all about spreading festive cheer and giving back. Visitors can donate gifts to support local charities, including NEXT Link and the The Grand Appeal, raising funds for the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Sarah Tinsley, Director of Marketing & Placemaking, at Hammerson said: “Cultural partnerships are just one of the exciting ways we are engaging our customers and creating new reasons to visit beyond shopping. Last year, our colourful mural with Aardman really captured visitor’s imaginations, so we are excited to be collaborating with them once again for a festive activation which not only champions local artists but also seeks to connect the community at the most magical time of the year.”

Tickets go on sale from 7am on 1st October for the Cracking Christmas Experience so whether a local or a visitor, Cabot Circus is set to make this Christmas one to remember. Tickets can be purchased here: www.eventbrite.com/cc/wallace-gromit-a-cracking-christmas-experience-3695939

The ticketed adventure is the latest in an ongoing cultural partnership between Hammerson’s destination Cabot Circus and Bristol-based multi-award-winning studio, Aardman. Last year, a mural celebrating the creativity of the city was unveiled to great fanfare in Quakers Friars alongside workshops for budding animators.

This year’s activation is the ultimate festive countdown to the release of a new Wallace & Gromit film, Vengeance Most Fowl, which is coming to BBC in the UK and Netflix globally this winter. In the new film, Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again!
