Get ready for an evening of intrigue and suspense as "A Major Murder: A Roman Baths Mystery" launches this December. Set in the atmospheric surroundings of the historic Roman Baths, this interactive experience promises a night of drama and an unforgettable whodunit challenge.
Step back in time to 1897 as the fictional story unfolds. The Roman Promenade, a new terrace overlooking the Great Bath, is set to be officially opened by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Cambridge. Behind the scenes, controversy stirs with the attendance of Major Charles Edward Davis, an unpopular City Architect whose designs were rejected in a heated Council competition.
When Major Davis is found dead during the unveiling, the stage is set for an exciting murder mystery. Guests will be tasked with piecing together clues, revealing secrets, and solving the crime in a memorable night of suspense.
Councillor Paul Roper, Cabinet Member for Economic & Cultural Sustainable Development, Bath & North East Somerset Council, said:
"We are delighted to bring this murder mystery event to the Roman Baths. This unique experience allows participants to engage with Bath’s rich history in a creative and interactive way, making it a perfect night out for mystery lovers and history enthusiasts alike. We hope everyone enjoys acting as detectives in one of our city's most iconic landmarks”
