If Opera (formerly Iford Arts) is rapidly becoming one of the most innovative and interesting opera companies around, working with a fixed ensemble every year in a variety of venues in the South West of England but with a national footprint.

Their acclaimed performances go hand-in-hand with their commitment to support the development of emerging artists, and their pledge to promote and improve the appreciation of performing and visual arts in young people through schools and community projects. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, collaborative and positive individual with excellent administrative, IT and communication skills. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the office as well as production support to the General Manager, Artistic Director and administration support to the Marketing Manager.

The successful candidate will need to be adept at juggling an array of administrative tasks and the ability to act with independent initiative and work well under pressure. A friendly and efficient manner and a keen interest in the Arts are essential.

The role is based in their offices in Bradford on Avon and some working from home. If Opera have a high work ethic and as a small team, work together on a number of tasks. Flexibility is needed around the event/performance periods and other busy times throughout the year. Some travel may be necessary for events, performances, auditions, meetings etc. Equally, evening and weekend work may be occasionally required.

Based at: If Opera – 15 Market Street, Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, BA15 1LL & working from home

Salary: £13,728 (gross) based on 22 hours per week.

Hours: Average hours of work each week c20, with bulk of the additional hours being worked in the lead up to and during the festival.
