The café space has undergone major refurbishment over the last two years. It now has level access throughout, and will open out onto the Cathedral’s secret garden, a quiet and tranquil spot at the heart of the city.
Pinkmans, who previously had a café on Park Street, will be serving enjoy their famous doughnuts, hand crafted sandwiches and single origin coffee.
The café will open on Tuesday 15 October 2024, the same day at the Gaia: Our Home Planet, a 7-metre installation of planet earth by Bristol based artist Luke Jerram opens in Bristol Cathedral.
Frances Rosewell, Visitor Experience Director at Bristol Cathedral says:
“We are delighted to be welcoming everyone to the brand-new café. The beautiful new space will enhance every visit to the Cathedral and provide the perfect spot for lunch during a visit to Gaia. It is clear that Pinkmans share our value of openness and our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality alongside a passion for exceptional food and drink.”
Cristina Cochior, Pinkmans Group General Manager, and Ross Gibbens, owner of Pinkmans, say:
“We are excited to be working with Bristol Cathedral and its team. Since the moment we opened discussions, it was clear that we are all driven by the quality of our guest experience and a passion for community. We also look forward to returning to Park Street, its vibrant community and Pinkmans original home. We've missed life on Park Street since the fire last year and can’t wait to give everyone their fix of sourdoughnuts and freshly baked goods, seven days a week.”
The café can be accessed via the Cathedral, or via Trinity Street. The café will be open seven days a week. Please see the Cathedral’s website for opening times: https://bristol-cathedral.co.uk.
