WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, in Gloucestershire, has announced a Halloween Light Trail, brand new for 2024.
When the sun sets at WWT Slimbridge, a magical world comes alive! This October, visitors can experience the wonder of nature in a whole new light with the centre’s spooktacular Halloween Light Trail, running on select dates from Friday 11th October through to Sunday 3rd November.
Explore WWT Slimbridge after hours
Visitors will embark on a twilight journey through a world of pumpkins, shipwrecks, and scarecrows, where they’ll encounter the Marsh Witch and Bog Wizard! Attendees can make a wish with the witch in the magical pond zone, get creative in the arts and crafts area, or warm up with a sweet treat by toasting marshmallows over the firepit.
Exclusive SENS Sessions for a Relaxed Experience
WWT Slimbridge is also offering specially designed SENS sessions on 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, and 25th October. These sessions are crafted to provide a more accessible, relaxed environment for individuals who may be sensitive to intense sensory experiences. SENS sessions feature softer lighting during twilight, toned-down background music, and a gentler performance from actors, ensuring all guests can enjoy the magic of Halloween in comfort.
Spooktacular Street Food
As well as magical marshmallow toasting, the Kingfisher Kitchen will have spooktacular street food on offer. There will no tricks, only treats with pulled pork, BBQ jackfruit and Aberdeen Angus burgers, along with dirty fries and giant onion rings.
