On 1 October 2024, The MICHELIN Guide revealed the brand new One, Two and Three Key distinctions for the most outstanding hotels in the UK and Ireland. Bath is the most-awarded UK city outside London.

The new distinction debuted this April and recognises outstanding hotels across the world in the same way that the Guide's Star awards recognise exceptional restaurants. Hotels can win one, two, or three Keys, with one denoting a special place to stay, two denoting an exceptional place to stay, and three denoting an extraordinary place to stay. Hotels receiving Key awards were judged excellent in five categories: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for the price; and a significant contribution to the guest experience in a particular setting. Key hotels don’t just fulfill one of these criteria – these are the best of the best in all categories.

This year's is the inaugural batch of MICHELIN Key awards to be presented to hotels across the UK, and features a number of Visit West's members in Bristol, Bath and the wider West of England region.

You can find the full list of Key award recipients for the UK and Ireland on The MICHELIN Guide website

Visit West would like to congratulate all our members who have received Key awards from The MICHELIN Guide.
