The role of Chair of Arnolfini Arts is instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment with the interim director and team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding the Board through renewal and transformation
  • Executing Arnolfini’s strategic vision
  • Ensuring alignment with the organisation's mission and values
  • The next Chair will forge strong relationships with stakeholders, including funders, partners, artists, community groups, and government bodies, enhancing Arnolfini’s influence and reputation.
  • They will drive fundraising efforts, identify new opportunities, and nurture donor relationships.

  • Champion programs that engage diverse audiences and address community needs, maintaining Arnolfini’s accessibility and welcoming atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Bring extensive senior leadership and governance experience, ideally within arts, culture, or non-profit sectors, adept at navigating complex environments to achieve strategic goals.
  • Have a track record of chairing boards ensuring transparency and integrity within Arnolfini Arts.
  • Have exceptional stakeholder engagement and financial management skills, they will safeguard Arnolfini’s financial health and drive initiatives forward.
