Bath BID appoints new security supplier

After going through a rigorous tender process, the Bath Business Improvement District (BID) is delighted to announce their appointment of Axien Security Ltd as their new security supplier providing Bath City Marshals.

The Bath City Marshals are a service provided to the city of Bath and Bath BID business members. The Marshals’ role is to prevent and deter anti-social behaviour and shop theft both during the day and night, operating a responsive service to businesses 7 days a week. In the last financial year, the Day Marshals recovered over £44,000 worth of stock for businesses and the Night Marshals dealt with over 945 incidents.

The Marshals are one of several services that the Bath BID offers under the Safe and Secure Bath Business Crime Reduction Partnership. The aim of the Safe and Secure BCRP is to prevent and deter business crime operating in partnership with city centre businesses, B&NES Council, Avon and Somerset Police and local partners to help reduce, theft, crime and antisocial behaviour across the city centre.

Nick Bishop, Safe and Secure BCRP Manager, shared the reasons for selecting Axien Security: “The Safe and Secure BCRP is growing week by week, and therefore it was important for us to find a new and ambitious security supplier who is ready to help us develop the City Marshal project and deliver even better results to our levy payers. I believe Axien Security are the right company to help us achieve these results and take us in the right direction.”

Axien Security Limited is a locally based security company specialising in providing security solutions with a personnel database that includes some of the UK’s top tier security operatives.
