In celebration of July as World Rum Month, Rick’s at The Bristol has unveiled a new rum menu featuring an array of sophisticated cocktails crafted to perfection. Available now until Wednesday 31 July, guests are invited to indulge in the acclaimed cocktail bar’s latest creations, all set against the backdrop of Bristol’s iconic harbourside.

Rick’s is renowned for its classic and curated cocktails, and this month’s special offerings are no exception. Guests can expect a specially curated rum menu, including tipples such as:

Frozen Daiquiri of the Day: A delectable combination of Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, Lime and Sugar. This refreshing cocktail is blended to icy perfection, delivering a burst of citrusy sweetness that is both invigorating and thirst-quenching on a warm summer day.

RUMble in the Jungle: A tropical blend of Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, Apricot Liqueur, Coconut and Lime, this vibrant cocktail marries the rich, robust flavours of rum with the sweet tang of apricot and the creamy smoothness of coconut, finished with a zesty lime kick.

Cuban MELONcholy: A unique blend of Havana Club 3-Year-Old, Sauternes, Coconut and Fresh Melon, this cocktail combines the depth of aged rum with the sweet complexity of Sauternes wine, balanced by the refreshing and juicy notes of fresh melon and a hint of coconut.

Roasted Mai Tai: This twist on a classic features Juny & Wulff Guyana Rum, Wray & Nephew, Lime, Orgeat and London Essence Roasted Pineapple Soda. Roasted Mai Tai offers a robust blend of rums, enriched by the nutty sweetness of orgeat and the unique, smoky flavour of roasted pineapple soda.

Old Kiwban: Guests can savour the exotic with Eminente Reserva 7-Year-Old, Homemade Lime & Kiwi Cordial, Apricot, Mint and Prosecco with this tipple. Offering a sophisticated mix of aged rum and fruity notes of apricot and kiwi, the cocktail also ensures a refreshing hint of mint and a sparkling finish from prosecco.

In honour of PRIDE 2024, Rick’s is proud to support Freedom, Bristol’s longest-running LGBTQIA+ charity. Throughout July, £1 from each Old Kiwban cocktail sold will be donated to Freedom, which has been providing vital services and support to LGBTQIA+ youth aged 11-25 since 1995.

Cuba(no): A refreshing non-alcoholic option with CleanCo R, Lime and Watermelon, this vibrant mocktail delivers a delightful burst of fresh watermelon and zesty lime, providing a perfect alternative for those who prefer to enjoy the taste of summer without the alcohol.

A mix and match offer is also running throughout the month of July, where guests can enjoy any two cocktails from the new rum menu for just £16 until 7pm daily, making it the perfect excuse to unwind by the water with friends or colleagues.

Mehmet Kandemir, General Manager of The Bristol, comments: “We are celebrating World Rum Month at Rick’s with a menu that showcases the variation and variety of rum. Our team has crafted these cocktails to deliver an unforgettable experience, perfect for enjoying summer vibes by the harbourside.
