Mischief stars Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, creators of the global smash hit The Play That Goes Wrong and BBC TV’s The Goes Wrong Show, are set to visit the Theatre Royal Bath from Tuesday 11 to Sunday 16 June in their mind-bending comedy, Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, following a six-week season in the West End.

Audiences are invited to join the ‘Mind Mangler’ as he makes his spectacular return to the stage with his new two-man “solo” show. Prepare to witness hilarious feats of mentalism spiral into chaos as he attempts to read your mind, mind, mind! After last year’s sold-out UK performances followed by a season in New York, Mind Mangler brings laugh-filled magic mayhem and comedy to Bath on the final week of Mischief’s 2024 UK tour.

Mischief are now celebrating ten years in the West End with their many stage successes including The Play That Goes Wrong, which has appeared in the West End, Broadway and in international productions staged on every continent - with the exception of Antarctica; Peter Pan Goes Wrong, which returned on UK tour in 2024; Magic Goes Wrong; Groan Ups; A Comedy About A Bank Robbery and Mischief Movie Night. Their Royal Television Society Award-winning BBC One series The Goes Wrong Show was launched in December 2019 with a Christmas special, with further episodes in 2020, plus a hit Nativity special. The second series aired in September 2021 on BBC One and iPlayer.

Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer have performed at the Theatre Royal Bath previously in May 2014, alongside fellow Mischief co-founder Henry Shields, in the first major UK tour of The Play That Goes Wrong.

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, Mind Mangler is based on a character originally created in Magic Goes Wrong by Penn Jillette, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields and Teller.

Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle began at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022. After a sold-out season, it was developed into a two-act show which toured the UK and ran in New York in 2023. The ‘Mind Mangler’ persuaded the following producers to back this production - Kenny Wax, Stage Presence and Kevin McCollum. (They regret it).

After appearing in the West End earlier this year, Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle opened its 2024 tour at Manchester’s Palace Theatre in May before touring to Cambridge, Birmingham, Hull, Milton Keynes, Liverpool and Bath.
