After the overwhelming success of 2023's inaugural festival, Wrington Vale Rotary Club are once again putting on a charity festival, The Harvest Home Festival.

It will take place at Mendip Activity Centre's family adventure campsite, Mendip Basecamp, in Churchill, North Somerset. Last year's festival raised over £5,000 for local charities  focused on supporting disadvantage young people. This include a weekend away for local Young Carers and a variety of youth competitions for aspiring musicians, chefs and writers.

The festival is a perfect end-of-summer celebrations for families and takes its name from the traditional harvest festival that runs as the summer turns into autumn. There will be a Greatest Showman-themed Friday evening followed by a full day of family activities, adventure and live music. As well as live music on a big stage and a huge outdoor cinema screen, the ticket price also includes loads of free activities such as the climbing tower, frisbee golf, circus skills, nerf battle zone and a campfire. Live music comes from SuperVision, The Jamestown Brothers, NewMidrod Ends, Bang Tail Feathers, Daisy Chapman and Jonny Michael.

Angie Biggs, President of Wrington Vale Rotary Club, said: "This festival is the highlight of our fundraising activities for the year. It brings me real joy to see the results of the collaboration between ourselves and Mendip Activity Centre in the difference we can make to local children's lives."

Additional sponsorship comes from Howards Motor Group and Thatchers Cider. 2024's festival promises to be bigger, better and more popular than last years. Early Bird Tickets have sold out but a limited number of Tier 1 tickets and evening tickets are still available. Tickets start from £10 per person and can be booked at www.harvesthome.co.uk.
