This year, plan a Great British summer wedding at one of Bath's beautiful heritage parks.

Nothing is more quintessentially British and charming, than long days of sunshine and warmer weather (however long it lasts!). Whether you're tying the knot at the historic Temple of Minerva or amidst the picturesque scenery of Parade Gardens, a British Summer theme really sets the perfect tone for your reception!

Bath's heritage parks are a gorgeous wedding backdrop in summer, when the plants are in full bloom. At the Temple of Minerva, decorate with classic bunting, which will flutter in the breeze, while your guests dine. Serve some Pimm’s, and on vintage china present your guests with cucumber sandwiches, sausages rolls, and strawberries and cream for a really nostalgic feast.

If sandwiches aren't quite your thing, perhaps you'd fancy opting for local favourite Wild Figs' grazing table, "the British," boasting four distinct British cheeses. And for children, there's the whimsical Alice in Wonderland themed grazing table, complete with themed props and tableware – though we're certain adults would find it just as delightful! Don’t forget to book Sevanetti’s vintage ice cream trike! Nothing beats indulging in an ice cream on a sunny day.

At Parade Gardens, deckchairs beckon, and the manicured lawns, splendid roses, and vintage bedding, make it the ideal setting for garden games, picnics and prosecco. There is even an Edwardian bandstand – a lovely spot for photos, as well as being licensed for ceremonies.

But let’s be realistic – the British weather can sometime be a bit unpredictable! For those occasional showers, including umbrellas in your planning is handy – and they can double as parasols! At Parade Gardens you can shelter under the riverside colonnades. We have a gazebo at the Temple, which you can add at short notice if rain is expected, or you can hire a marquee for a full day’s celebration. Rain or shine, when you are celebrating with your loved ones, you are sure to have the most memorable day.

Plan your outdoor wedding now and enjoy the timeless magic of perfect summer’s day!
