Ever looked back on all the dumb things you thought as a teenager and cringed? Of course you have. And now’s your chance to laugh at someone else’s misfortunes with this brand new one-woman show by Tiffany Rhodes and Black Dog Productions.

Part theatre, part stand-up, Let’s Unpack That follows Tiff as she looks back at the confusion and frustrations of teenage life through the lens of her very own 2007 diary.

The show tells a story that so many women who grew up in the age of Motorola Razrs and blow-up sofas will recognise, one of media misogyny, impossible body standards, and the conundrum of whether My Chemical Romance are goth or emo. Add in the stress of growing up neurodivergent and queer in a whirlwind world of maths homework and casual homophobia and it’s easy to see why some of us might have some unpacking to do.

Directed by CJ Turner-McMullan, with lighting design by Esther Warren and a special appearance from Bristol stand-up Charlotte McEvoy, Let’s Unpack That promises Black Dog Productions’ signature blend of comedy and cultural commentary. Join them for this hilarious and harrowing glimpse into the mind of a teenage goth, complete with poorly aged jokes and a whole lot of noughties nostalgia.

Let’s Unpack That comes to The Rondo Theatre as part of the 2024 Bath Fringe Festival on Friday 7 June at 8:00pm.

Tickets are £14 standard and £8 concession, and on sale now at www.rondotheatre.co.uk
