Holly Humberstone and The Vaccines to support Kings of Leon at Ashton Gate

Holly Humberstone and The Vaccines will support Kings of Leon when the Grammy Award-winning band headline Ashton Gate on Sunday 23 June.

English singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone will be a special guest for Kings of Leon’s much anticipated return to Bristol, 21 years after the band’s last performance in the city.

Winner of the prestigious Rising Star BRIT Award in 2022, 24-year-old Humberstone has established herself as one of the most exciting alternative pop stars of her generation.

She has gone from strength to strength since finishing runner up in the BBC Sound Of 2021, with her bear-all storytelling receiving critical-acclaim and commercial success.

Her debut album, Paint My Bedroom Black, went to Number Five in the UK Album Charts and was ranked by Rolling Stone and NME as one of the best albums released in 2023.

English indie rock band The Vaccines also take their place on the line-up with their huge sing-along choruses and infectious guitar riffs, having previously been announced as special guests for select dates on Kings of Leon’s Can We Please Have Fun World Tour.

Since bursting onto the scene with their best-selling debut album, What Did You Expect from the Vaccines? (2011), The Vaccines have sold more than two million records worldwide and opened for acts such as The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys and Muse.

The BBC Sound of 2011 nominees and NME Award-winners released their sixth studio album, Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations, earlier this year and will perform at Ashton Gate for the first time in support of Kings of Leon as part of an incredible day of live music.
