The Grand Pier proudly announces the registration of its own defibrillator with 'The Circuit,' the Defibrillator National Network. This crucial step means that emergency services are now aware of its location in the event of a cardiac arrest in the vicinity.
In collaboration with The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's Donate for Defib Weston-super-Mare Project, The Grand Pier reached out for support to facilitate the registration of its defibrillator and raise awareness about this life-saving initiative.
Josh Bell, one of the Co-Leading Partners of the Donate for Defib Project, assisted Georgie Brazington, Compliance Manager at The Grand Pier with the registration process.
While The Grand Pier's defibrillator was not acquired through the Donate for Defib Weston-super-Mare Project, Josh Bell willingly provided guidance on the registration process through 'The Circuit.', showing commitment to public safety.
To maintain compliance with 'The Circuit,' The Grand Pier Team has undertaken the responsibility of ensuring the defibrillator remains rescue ready. Monthly checks will be undertaken to uphold its registration status on 'The Circuit.'
Although the defibrillator has restricted access in alignment with The Grand Pier's operating hours, the Security Team is fully briefed and available during closed hours at the front of the Pier.
