Having cemented itself as a go-to for exquisite cocktails in Bristol over the past 365 days, Rick’s at The Bristol will be celebrating its Paper anniversary on Friday 23 February 2024 with a new suite of signature cocktails.
Inspired by Hollywood’s classic movies, this luxurious destination on the water’s edge will be serving up an all-new menu of carefully crafted cocktails alongside delectable small plates and bar bites in honour of its paper celebration. To ensure its guests get into the party spirit, Rick’s is serving up an unmissable first birthday offer; all new cocktails will be priced at two for £16 from 12pm on Friday 23 until close on Sunday 25 February.
Alongside fresh cocktail concoctions, there’s also a new gin in town - Rick’s has teamed up with Bristol-based microdistillery, Psychopomp, to create a bespoke gin, which will be available exclusively at the Harbourside-hangout. Rick’s Gin takes inspiration from iconic bar scenes and drinks that defined an era, and includes a tantalising blend of juniper, raspberry and cherry flavours. Made using a traditional and meticulous process that emphasises quality over quantity, Rick’s & Psychopomp Gin is the perfect base to all gin-based cocktails.
New serves to look out for at Rick’s…
First up, for any Quiet Man wanting to ‘Talk a Little Treason, expect a serving of Vida Mezcal, Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, Marmalade and Lime. Shaken and served in a highball glass, this cocktail will be an explosion of flavour, bringing a little zest to any occasion.
Bringing tropical vibes and sunshine to winter days, ‘One Partner in Paradise’ has notes of Pineapple, Mango, Orange and Coconut, blended with Sagatiba Cachaça, giving a subtle nod to the 1950s classic film, South Pacific.
There’s no better pairing than a cup of tea and a catch up, and Rick’s has added sophistication to this sacred tradition. Introducing ‘Happy Talk’, a cocktail inspired by the same classic film, carefully blends Remy Martin V.S.O.P, Benedictine, and Orange Bitters with the finest Earl Grey.
Also joining the curated menu are the rich, crisp flavours of Belvedere Ginger & Pear Vodka, Dolin Dry Vermouth with Apple and Sage that will leave those who sip on it feeling as ‘Fresh as a Daisy’.
A ‘Sweet Sue’ for any sweet tooth, this new pour will be bursting with the tartness of Lemon and lashings of Cherry and Vanilla. Making the Sweet Sue extra special, this addition will be served with the new Pyshcopomp Rick’s Gin.
Last but by no means least is none-other than ‘Magic and Make-Believe’: an exquisite rum-based cocktail, crafted with Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, Lime, Banana, Pinot Grigio and a light and fluffy Caramel Foam.
