Stuck for ways to treat your special someone to a night of romance, without breaking the bank this Valentine’s Day? The Botanist Bath has launched a Valentine’s Date Night Menu for two, running on Wednesday 14 February, and it’s made up of three courses for only £60, including a cocktail each.
The menu has been designed for savouring the moment together and begins with a refreshing strawberry and elderflower mojito upon arrival, followed by a whole melted camembert baked in a sourdough loaf with sweet onion marmalade and crispy garlic croutons to start.
Valentine’s Day at The Botanist wouldn’t be complete without those three little words, ‘famous hanging kebabs.' For main course, the sharing kebab includes either chicken, lamb kofta and Thai red prawn, or the vegetarian option of crispy halloumi, teriyaki mushroom and vegan meatball, on a triple-skewer rack. Both are served with coleslaw, houmous and flatbread, perfect for two to tuck in to.
For dessert, The Botanist’s signature warm cookie dough is served with a choice of either s’mores, Oreo, Crunchie or salted pretzel toppings, complete with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and two spoons.
Live music will soundtrack Valentine’s Day evening with talented resident musicians performing from 7pm onwards. With grand interiors, twinkling fairly lights and exposed brick walls adorned with impressive hand-painted artwork, it’s a secret garden you can get lost in together.
As the home of date night, The Botanist recently announced its Bath site as the official UK First Dates restaurant, with the new series available to stream on Channel 4 now. To celebrate, the Botanist’s talented mixologists have created a love-inspired cocktail menu in collaboration with the show, available in all 24 of The Botanist bars across the country.
Each of the four cocktails on the menu, Candyfloss Royale, Love Potion, Confetti Martini, and She Loves You, have been created with romance in mind, infused with fruits, botanicals and sweet treats to arouse the senses.
The Candyfloss Royale, with St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, strawberry and elderflower cordial and Cava, served to the customers in a potion-like bottle to hand-pour into the glass over a puff of strawberry candyfloss, comes with an intriguing tag housing a QR code. When scanned with a mobile device, it promises to reveal ‘what cupid has in store for you in 2024.'
All First Dates cocktail specials at The Botanist are priced at £9.25 and are available from Tuesday 2 January until Tuesday 12 March.
The set menu runs on Wednesday 14 February alongside the standard menu, for those who fancy their favourite Botanist dishes.
