Individuals across Bristol, Bath and the wider region have been recognised in The King's 2024 New Year Honours.
Bristol
Marvin Rees - The current Mayor of Bristol since 2016 received an OBE for services to local government.

Phil Haughton - The founder of award-winning Bristol-based organic retailer Better Food received an MBE for services to sustainable food initiatives and the community of Bristol. Find out more here.
Dr. Teame Mebrahtu - The lecturer at the University of Bristol and campaigner who helps refugees settle in their new country received an OBE for services to education, refugees, and the local Bristol community.
North Somerset
Samantha Kate Mayhew - The Assistant Principal for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at Weston College received an OBE for services to further education.
Robert John Collins - The founder of Pass It On Young Sports Voluntary Youth Organisation received a BEM for services to young people and sport.
Keith Norman Walton - The founder of Severnside Community Rail Partnership received an MBE for services to urban rail transport in Bristol.
Bath & North East Somerset
Michael Eavis - The founder of the world-famous Glastonbury Festival received a knighthood for services to music and charity.

Alison Melanie Savage - The officer commanding The Services Cotswold Centre received an MBE for services to military families.
