Bristol Zoological Society, the conservation and education charity that runs and operates Bristol Zoo Project, higher education programmes and conservation projects across the world, is recruiting a Visitor Experience Host. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Visitor Experience team.
Salary: £8,127.60pa (£10.42ph)
Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week (weekends)

As a Visitor Experience Host you are the primary point of contact for visitors and will be relied on to:
- Demonstrate your passion and pride as an ambassador for a well-loved organisation and conservation efforts and mission.
- Engage and assist visitors to ensure they have a memorable day out.
- Ensure a well presented attraction, by assisting with car parks, retail, admissions, membership, grounds and amenities duties.
Applicants must have a friendly, professional manner and be ready to welcome guests to the attraction and inspire them with discoveries of wildlife and our onsite activities. All applicants must enjoy working outdoors whatever the weather, and be willing to support the team in extra duties. It is also essential that you are confident and courteous with visitor interaction.
With a new strategy in place to create a world-class Bristol Zoo and conservation and sustainability at its heart, the new Bristol Zoo Project will offer spacious, modern facilities, significant growth in our conservation and education work, and an innovative and exciting visitor experience.
The role will help to realise Bristol Zoo Project's vision of saving wildlife together, and you will be involved in supporting the transformation programme – driving visitor numbers and excitement at Bristol Zoo Project as plans for the new Zoo progress.
