Sell-out comedy and charity event Belly Laughs will return to Bath for a second time in January 2024.
Belly Laughs 2023 included 4 cities, with 100 comedians taking part in 117 gigs, 5046 tickets sold, £33,000 raised for local charities, and £100,000 into local businesses!
This January, Belly Laughs will be returning to Bath, in aid of Julian House. 20 venues are taking part, hosting a total of 23 gigs over 10 nights. The event is expected to raise around £15,000 for Julian house and an estimated £40,000 for Bath’s hospitality industry.
The perfect gift for a friend, loved one or yourself, we invite you to join us in January for some amazing food and a good old laugh, all in aid of Julian House - a charity committed to supporting vulnerable, homeless and at-risk people across the South West.
Throughout the month of January, you can enjoy the delicious combination of food and comedy whilst raising much needed funds for local homeless charity Julian House. Belly Laughs is returning to Bath for this January 2024, bringing people together through comedy and food in the most miserable month of the year.
Previously, Belly Laughs gigs have seen contributions from local comedians and some familiar faces (including Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Rosie Jones, Jayde Adams and Nish Kumar) and 2024 promises to be business as usual!
Each ticket includes a night of comedy from surprise pot luck comedians and food and/or drinks from 20 of Bath’s favourite venues. You could take your pick from a hearty homemade fare at Sally Lunn’s to an Indian feast at The Grand Eastern or simply a nice round of drinks from Bath Cider House, and many more!
£10 from each ticket sale will go to support Julian House, with all other sales proceeds going to the host venue to help them through a traditionally quiet month for the hospitality scene.
Every gig is unique, but one thing remains the same. You’ll be fed and watered, you’ll laugh and you’ll be supporting a good cause. Let’s be honest, what else is this much fun in January? All organisers and comedians donate their time for Belly Laughs.
The Belly Laughs team said: “We’re always blown away by people’s generosity at these events and am sure we can raise some money for Julian House whilst having a bit of a laugh at the same time."
Belly Laughs’ chosen charity in Bath is Julian House, a charity that supports vulnerable and at-risk people. These include adults and young people experiencing homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties and people who need support after leaving prison. Their projects not only address the symptoms of homelessness but also the underlying reasons why people are forced onto the streets.
Julian House operates more than 40 different projects, accommodation sites and social enterprises across the South West. These include homeless outreach services and a 20-bed emergency access hostel in the centre of Bath.
Tickets will be on sale from Friday 1 December 2023 via Yuup.co. Browse gigs and buy your tickets now!
