The Yolk Cafe is bringing a new cuisine to central Bath, teaming up with the award-winning Loki Poke to launch a completely new menu. From 31 October the venue will be serving made-to-order poke bowls, alongside its bespoke cocktails curated by the team behind Brozen and small batch ice creams.
The Yolk is on the ground floor of The Egg, Theatre Royal Bath’s children’s theatre, and is open seven days a week. The cafe will also be hosting evening events, including live music and open mic nights.
The menu, available for sit-in dining or takeaway, will focus on super fresh ingredients and healthy, balanced bowls, with a mixture of sashimi fish, meat and vegan options. The poke bowls are all gluten free, and all served with a combination of sushi rice, brown rice or slaw, as well as made-in-house sauces, pickles and fresh veg.
The bowls will also be available to order on Deliveroo for home delivery across the city.
The menu has been designed by Bristol independent food business Loki Poke, who currently serve their bowls from Bristol’s Wapping Wharf. Loki Poke feature on Deliveroo's list of the Bristol’s "top rated" takeaway options, and were named Bristol’s best new business in 2022 in the Bristol Life Awards.
Joe Edgerley, co-founder of The Yolk, said: “We’re super excited to be working with LOKI POKE and bringing their offering to Bath! We’ve been big fans of their food for a long time and are over the moon to add it to our menu. It’s the perfect addition to our selection of ice cream, cake and cocktails.”
