Security Officer at We The Curious

The Role 

You’ll be part of an Estates Services Team, working with a Shift Supervisor and other Officers.

During your shifts you’ll monitor and patrol the 11-acre site, providing excellent customer service to visitors of Millennium Square Car Park, and all of the open spaces, as well as looking out for and reporting any suspicious incidents, dealing with vehicles on site and issuing parking enforcement tickets when needed, as well as providing first level fault-finding for car park equipment.

From the Estates Services Control Room, you’ll monitor CCTV and manage the fire alarm systems and access control software, and be a first point of contact for contractors and visitors to the site.

The Estates Services team-work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year covering the entire We the Curious site providing a secure, safe, and friendly environment for all visitors, staff and users of the open spaces.

Key information

Salary: £31,700 per annum (£18,500 pro-rata)

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: Part time, 28 hours a week (average created from a 3-week repeated shift pattern, with opportunities for overtime)
