In an unexpected turn of events yesterday afternoon, the beloved characters ‘The Grinch’ and ‘Santa Claus’ broke free from Santa's Grotto on The Grand Pier, leading to an amusing yet chaotic escape to the local supermarket in Weston-super-Mare.
Eyewitnesses were left astounded as The Grinch and Santa Claus made their daring escape, heading on a journey around Morrison’s supermarket in Locking Castle.
Shoppers were in for a surprise as the festive duo caused delightful chaos, spreading holiday cheer and mischief throughout the store.
This occured just a few days before Santa’s Grotto doors open at The Grand Pier.
The Grand Pier management expressed their surprise at the unexpected turn of events. "Whilst there was a slight panic yesterday afternoon, we assure our visitors that Santa's Grotto is now secure, and our trusty elves have brought the festive characters back where they belong!” commented Katie Robertson, PR & Marketing Manager at The Grand Pier.
The Grand Pier invites the community to share their eyewitness accounts and festive snapshots on social media using the hashtag #GrandPierChristmas.
The Grand Pier will be opening its Santa’s Grotto doors this Saturday 2nd December. Tickets can be purchased via the website: https://www.grandpier.co.uk/christmas/.
