About the role:
Based in We The Curious's onsite workshop you will ensure that every visitor receives the best quality experience by delivering a comprehensive programme of preventative and reactive maintenance for all exhibits and workshop equipment.
The role will also include involvement in the design, development and construction of one off in-house builds and interactive exhibitions.
We The Curious includes a variety of exhibits over two floors, incorporating water, pneumatics, lighting , electronic, mechanical and computer systems; therefore a general knowledge and understanding in all the general principles and an ability to fault find and problem solve is essential.
The Exhibitions team have a purposefully varied but complimentary skillset. The small team look after 3,000m2 of exhibition space with around 200 experiences for visitors including a presentation kitchen and other programming spaces.
They manage the development and delivery of new Exhibitions and also support the rest of the organisation in their projects in the development of props and interactive pieces and are accustomed to working with subcontractors, community partners and artists.
Key information
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed term, 18 months
Working hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
