Mendip Activity Centre has begun construction on accessible archery and air rifle ranges, an accessible viewing platform for their tobogganing slope and a group picnic area.
“We are delighted to have received funding from North Somerset Council’s Rural Prosperity Fund.” says David Eddins, Managing Director at Mendip Activity Centre. “This will allow us to continue developing our provision of real outdoor activities and ensure they can be accessible to all for years to come.”
Features of this exciting development will include:
- Accessible target sport range that will be able to cater for individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and neurodiversity.
- Extension of Mendip's existing group marquee for schools and private bookings.
- Brand new picnic area for visitors.
- Accessible viewing platform for the tobogganing slope.
Mendip expects the new ranges to be completed by Easter 2024. Archery, Air Rifle and Axe Throwing starts at £17 per person. Tobogganing starts at £6 per person. For more information, visit www.mendip.co.uk.
