Jon Chamberlain, Head of Marketing at Visit West, attended on behalf of the region, representing Bath and Bristol to buyers in 40 meetings over the course of the event.

Jon reports: "The good news is the appetite for the Bath and Bristol region is high amongst buyers who are loving my pitch of 'The England You Already Know.....But Better,' encouraging longer overnight stays, resulting in higher spend and increased productivity in the visitor economy.”

"Travel trade work is a marathon, not a sprint, but I have a distinct feeling we are on the cusp of really making the most of the US and Canadian markets."

If you are a Visit West member and want to find out more about working with international travel trade, drop me a line."

As well as the pre-arranged schedule of 14-minute one-to-one meetings with buyers, there was also a networking welcome reception and dinners, including one on a boat trip around San Francisco Bay.
