Marketing and Events Executive at Bristol Aquarium

The Role

To develop creative marketing strategies that will make an impact, support the brand, drive sales and increase visitor numbers for the Aquarium. The role will also drive venue hire business by handling enquiries, meeting clients and managing events to a high standard, managing any support staff during the event.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a detailed integrated marketing activity and aquarium events plan including both traditional and digital channels.

• Develop strategies to establish and grow the business through appropriate trade channels and develop relationships with key trade partners to ensure maximum exposure within the region.

• Responsible for analysis, interpretation and improvement of visitor numbers and revenue on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, implementing strategies to ensure targets are met or exceeded

• To implement our Venue Hire Strategy, offering a range of first class events packages to entice business to auditorium, meeting room and aquarium spaces.

• Manage daytime and evening events by ensuring that the client’s needs are met, work alongside the operations team to ensure catering is prepared if requested, be present during the event as first point of contact, and ensure staffing levels are appropriate.

• Coordinate online marketing activity working with the digital marketing agency to optimise activity, driving down costs and working to increase website sales. This will include, but not be limited to PPC, paid social, affiliate marketing, content marketing and online PR.

• Responsible for budgeting and managing spends within channels as well as effective management of marketing accruals associated with digital agency contracts.

• To be a member of the management team, covering duty management responsibilities as required including First Aid, Fire Marshal.

Location: Bristol

Contract Type: 40 hours to include weekends, bank holidays, evenings and school

holidays

Contract Length: Permanent

Salary: £24,000 per annum
