Bristol Cocktail Weekend is the city’s inaugural showcase of mixology, celebrating the many incredible cocktail venues that Bristol has to offer. Brought to you by drink and dining connoisseurs, Living For The Weekend, and supported by the Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID), the event will provide visitors with four days of drink, food and adventure.

Today, the remaining venues participating in the event have been announced, including go-to city hotspots such as: NQ64, Aluna, Be at One Bristol, The Clockwork Rose, Brozen Bar, The Botanist, Bristol and Bath Rum Distillery, and many more.

Ticket holders will swap their e-tickets for wristbands at the Naked Malt Hub at Bambalan, giving them access to £6 signature cocktails in every participating venue. The cocktails are kept secret, so guests are encouraged to try something new as they make their way through the bars and their offerings. Some participating venues are also creating a no-alcohol version of their signature cocktail, which will be priced at £5.

As well as sipping on their £6 cocktails, festival-goers will also be able to tuck into a feast, with participating venues offering a whole host of deals to keep cocktail-lovers fed as they make their way through the city. From succulent chicken gyros for just £7.50 at Bambalan, to 25% off sourdough pizzas at Flight Club, and 20% off all food at venues like The Lost & Found, Hotel du Vin and Harbour House, guests are sure to see out the weekend full of both food and drink.

To help warm the city up for Cocktail Weekend, festival go-ers can sign up for events and experiences taking place the week prior. Filthy XIII will be kicking off the cocktail proceedings on Tuesday 26th September with their warm-up event; an intimate evening celebrating the much-loved whisky-based classic, The Old Fashioned. Here, guests will be greeted with a welcome drink, before being introduced to Maker’s Mark and learning about the construction of the bartender favourite - before finally making their own, with guidance from the Hideout - the UK Top 50 cocktail bar and specialist in all things whisky.

Bristol Cocktail Weekend festival go-ers can get involved with a variety of different events between sipping those £6 signature cocktails, including truly unique sessions such as Ice Carving & Cocktails at  Milk Thistle on Friday 29th September, where the team are joining forces with Roku Gin to offer an authentically Japanese evening with three Roku Gin cocktails, a talk on the history of The House of Suntory and the chance to watch an Ice Carving master at work.

It wouldn’t be a Bristol event without a celebration of all things nautical, so on Friday 29th September, guests will be invited to embark on a tasting experience like no other: a Hendrick’s Tasting Voyage. Starting with a welcome drink at Loose Cannon, guests will sip their signature cocktail before embarking on a boat trip on the harbour, but with a twist. Ride the waves and take in the Bristol views, while enjoying three more Hendrick's Gin cocktails plus some tempting gin tastings and local entertainment.

On Sunday 1st October, guests will be invited to join an extra special finale event to close out the weekend. Her Majesty's Secret Service will join forces with Bristol Film Festival to present a drink-a-long screening of the classic film Cocktail, starring Tom Cruise in one of his most recognisable roles. Over the course of the screening, guests will be treated to three themed cocktails. Wristband holders will receive a special discount for tickets to this event, but tickets will also be available to non-festival go-ers for £40.

Vicky Lee, head of Bristol City Centre BID, said: "Experiences like Bristol Cocktail Weekend are a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors to Bristol alike to explore the city and try many of its world-class hospitality venues. Bristol has no shortage of food and beverage talent and is applauded for its venues on both the national and international stage.

“This event will serve as yet another welcome reminder to those closer to home that we’re lucky to have what we have on our doorstep - and as ever, support our city’s hospitality heroes while revelling in all that Bristol City Centre has to offer.”

Bristol Cocktail Weekend’s Founder and Director, Alex Nicholson-Evans, said: “We can’t wait for September! We’ve got a fantastic line-up of venues who are busy developing some extraordinary cocktails exclusively for wristband wearers to enjoy from 28th September - 1st October.

“We’re also incredibly excited about the programme of special events that festival go-ers can access - from film screenings and a boat tour to masterclasses and an art class - there really is something for everyone. The inaugural Bristol Cocktail Weekend is set to be a truly memorable weekend - a cocktail adventure like no other - and we hope to see you there.”

Bristol Cocktail Weekend is an 18+ event. Tickets are available on Eventbrite from £12 + booking fee . The main event starts when the first venue opens on Thursday 28 September and runs until the last venue closes on Sunday 1 October. Wristbands are valid for the whole long weekend, allowing guests to dip into the festival for just one evening of cocktail sipping or enjoy all four days exploring venues. More information can be found in the Festival Guide. Please drink responsibly. Tickets are non-refundable.
