The Ustinov Studio’s Visiting Company Season features two new shows at the end of this month, starting with The Good Listening To Show, hosted by Chris Grimes on Friday 28 July, which will welcome special guests Neil Mullarkey and actress Rosie Cavaliero. Then, on Saturday 29 July, Myra DuBois returns to Bath by popular demand, bringing her latest comedy show, Be Well, to the Ustinov Studio for one night only.

The Good Listening To Show invites audiences to join host and motivational comedian, Chris Grimes, for two more episodes of his popular storytelling podcast and live radio show, on Friday 28 July; this time with special guests Neil Mullarkey, King of Improv, at 7pm, and actress Rosie Cavaliero at 9pm.

At 7pm, Chris will chat to actor, writer, comedian and coach Neil Mullarkey, who founded The Comedy Store Players with Mike Myers. Neil, whose many credits include two Austin Powers films and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, will be talking about all things Improv, his illustrious career spanning nearly 40 years and his new book In The Moment: Build Your Confidence, Communication and Creativity at Work.

At 9pm, much-loved comedy actress Rosie Cavaliero joins Chris as they catch up on new projects and her career highlights. Rosie’s many screen credits include Mike Leigh’s films Vera Drake and Topsy Turvy, and the television series Gentleman Jack, Funny Woman, Worzel Gummidge, This Time with Alan Partridge, Ghosts, Unforgotten, The Enfield Haunting, Doc Martin and Friday Night Dinner. Her stage credits include West End productions of In Flame and The Anniversary, and Abigail’s Party at Bath’s Theatre Royal and in the West End. Rosie also starred in Radio 4’s Cabin Pressure, and is soon to appear in new series on BBC1 and Netflix.

On Saturday 29 July, Myra DuBois makes a welcome return to the Ustinov Studio with her new comedy show, Be Well. With a passion for compassion and flair for giving care, Myra DuBois calls out to the disadvantaged, downtrodden and tyrannised of the world with her manifesto for mental health: AdMyrism!

With a reputation for leaving audiences in physical pain from laughter with her ‘take no prisoners’ brand of rapid-fire comedy, Myra DuBois’s quick-wit and un-rivalled crowd work has been taking the UK by storm for over a decade. In her latest show, Be Well, the acid-tongued, comedic force of nature lays her healing hands on the masses in her wellness sermon. Myra uses her skills as an actress, author, wellness guru, energy worker, Gemini, and (dare we forget) singer, to enrich each member of her audience personally.

Springing forward from the Burlesque scene, Myra DuBois has trodden the boards of such prestigious stages as the London Palladium, Royal Festival Hall, London Hippodrome and Soho Theatre. She opened for Bianca Del Rio on Del Rio’s 2018 and 2022 UK tours. Myra’s own show, Dead Funny, which also delighted Bath audiences, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 before transferring for a two-week run at the Sydney Opera House, followed by a UK tour launched at the Garrick Theatre in London’s West End.
