The world’s first Amazement park®, Wake The Tiger, has announced the launch of its Re-Creation Station. A summer holiday crafting activity space which invites visitors to the attraction to bring along their junk and upcycle it into their own works of art.
Known for its mesmerising walk-through art experience, Wake The Tiger is the brainchild of the creative team behind Boomtown Fair. Synonymous with creativity and sustainability, the new for summer 2023 Re-Creation Station is an arts and crafts area within Wake The Tiger’s Guildhall café, where visitors both young and young at heart can come and get their creative juices flowing.
The Re-creation Station will encourage visitors to turn their scraps into sculptures by transforming and recycling materials into artworks that can be taken home or displayed as part of an Installation at Wake The Tiger. Each piece will be inspired by the world of Meridia - a multi-sensory labyrinth of immersive environments, secret passageways, hidden forests, temples and ice caves.
The sustainable initiative further showcases Wake the Tiger’s vision to use the power of creativity to inspire a world that works for all. Sets used in many of its artistic experiences have been recycled from Boomtown Fair along with film sets. Elsewhere, the flowers in the attraction’s Red Room are made of recycled shower heads and the plastic toys showcased in the Submarine Room experience were collected having all been found thrown away as trash on beaches.
Additionally, all products on offer in the Curiosity Shop on-site at the attraction are cruelty-free and ethically-sourced and the Amazement Park® is also on a journey to become B Corp certified. Encouraging guests to find alternative routes of transport, a Voi park is also on-site and cycle racks are plentiful.

Wake The Tiger invites visitors to wander its unique, ever-evolving world of creativity, discovery and play. The ambitious project was launched in July 2022, featuring 27 creative environments featuring artworks, installations, narrative, soundscape, secret passageways and more. More than 180,000 tickets to the event have been sold, turning over £3 million in less than a year, to visitors across more than 60 countries.
