Farm Shop Supervisor

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is seeking a Farm Shop Supervisor to join their fun and passionate Catering & Retail team.

Working hours:

• Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. or

• Every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm are looking to recruit a friendly individual to join their fun and passionate Catering & Retail team as Farm Shop Supervisor, you will be working in the Farm Shop which is located at the top of the car park.

They opened our Farm Shop in 2020, it has become very popular with passing trade and zoo visitors. They sell fresh and frozen meals, homemade cakes, and desserts, made with local produce, freshly cooked in the Noah's Ark Kitchen by a team of talented chefs.

The other products are sourced from local businesses in the South West and small sustainable British businesses, the Farm Shop is also expanding to sell a wider range of gardening essentials and seasonal goods, including Christmas trees.

Some of your duties will be:

• Providing a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our customers.

• Barista trained, as will be making a multitude of hot drinks.

• Ensuring the displays are always fully stocked and presentable to customers.

• Working with the Marketing team to plan monthly Facebook and Instagram promotions.

• Maximising sales ensuring the customer leaves the farm shop happy and with everything they need.

• Taking customer orders and payments, operating the tills.

• Follow the stock control policy.

• Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety requirements are met.

• Temperature record and supplier delivery sheets are always kept up to date.

• To communicate and work closely with senior management and the chefs to ensure food and drink supplies are well managed throughout each day.

• Tidy and clean tables and customer areas in and around the farm shop.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Till trained and cash handling skills.

• Happy with lone working.

• You will have a bright and friendly personality that enjoys engaging with customers and staff.

• Barista trained.

• Organised, reliable, and clean and tidy in the workplace.

• Experience of working within a retail / catering environment.

• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

• Driving licence.
