Bilal Zafar and Huge Davies visit the Ustinov Studio at the Theatre Royal Bath on Saturday 8 July for a double-bill of comedy and laughter as part of this summer’s Visiting Company Season.

Stand-up comedian Bilal Zafar brings a preview of his brand-new show, 'Imposter,' to Bath ahead of his run at the Edinburgh Comedy Fringe. In his latest work, Bilal reveals how his usually stress-free house share took a turn when his housemate tried to get him arrested five times.

Nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe and winner of Hackney Empire’s New Act of the Year 2016, Bilal Zafar has since appeared on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Radio 4. He started performing stand-up whilst still at university in 2013, going on to take three solo shows to Edinburgh and touring them around the UK, including runs at London’s Soho Theatre. His acting roles include appearances in the Channel 4 sitcom Catastrophe, Sky1’s Sick of It and the film Last Christmas. During the pandemic, Bilal also built up an online following when he began streaming on Twitch, playing an unhinged football manager in an ongoing improvised series.

Joining Bilal on the bill is Edinburgh Newcomer Award nominee and musical comedian Huge Davies (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Roast Battle) with his Yamaha keyboard, who brings a preview of his new show 'Whodunnit?' to Bath. Wearable keyboard? Check! Deadpan delivery? Check! Stand-by for Huge’s highly anticipated, second show about murder.

Combining his confident on-stage presence, dark humour, surreal material and his one-of-kind customised keyboard, Huge Davies has quickly risen to become one the most unique acts in the UK. As seen on Hypothetical, Jonathan Ross, Live at the Comedy Store, Harry Hill and Jools Holland (yes, really); Huge is the creator and star of Channel 4 sitcom The Artists. Bath audiences can look forward to a thoroughly entertaining evening as Huge joins Bilal Zafar at the Ustinov Studio for one night only.
