Dinosaur World Live, the interactive children’s theatre show that brings dinosaurs to life on stage, visits the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 April as part of a major UK tour, culminating in a summer season at London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

Using stunning puppetry to bring remarkably life-like dinosaurs to the stage, Dinosaur World Live presents a host of impressive pre-historic creatures, including every child's favourite flesh-eating giant the Tyrannosaurus Rex, along with a Giraffatitan, Microraptor, Segnosaurus and Triceratops.

The show introduces Miranda, daughter of palaeontologists, who grew up surrounded by dinosaurs on a far-away island off the coast of South America. She has brought her pre-historic pals with her and would love audience members to meet them. Be warned some of these dinosaurs aren’t as docile as they seem!

For anyone looking for fun things to do with the kids, Dinosaur World Live delivers an entertaining and educational live show that promises to delight the whole family. The 2023 cast includes Selin Balcioğlu as Miranda with Puppeteers Rhea Locker-Marsh, Sharon Sze, William Uden, Nicholas Halliwell and Ross Lennon. Each performance is followed by a post-show meet and greet where audience members have the opportunity to meet some of the dinosaurs in person.

Dinosaur World Live is an international hit, following a hugely successful tour of the United States in 2019 visiting 35 cities across 19 states and London seasons at Regent’s Park Open-Air Theatre, Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre and Underbelly's Wonderground Festival.

Now on its fifth UK tour, Dinosaur World Live is written and directed by Derek Bond, whose previous credits include the Manchester Theatre Awards 2017 winner, Sweet Charity, and Little Shop of Horrors at Manchester Royal Exchange. The creative team includes puppet designer Max Humphries, who has worked with the National Theatre, Royal Opera House and Cirque de Soleil, and puppet director Laura Cubitt, whose credits include Running Wild at Chichester Festival Theatre, Don Quixote at the RSC and War Horse at the National Theatre, Berlin. Puppetry consultant for the show is Toby Olié, whose credits for the National Theatre include Elephantom, Peter Pan, The Light Princess, Hansel & Gretel and NT: 50 Years on Stage. Toby was also the original hind puppeteer of Joey in War Horse. Set and costume design is by James Perkins. The show is produced by Nicoll Entertainment with lighting design by John Maddox and sound design by Tom Mann.

Dinosaur World Live appears at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 April. To book tickets call the Theatre Royal Bath Box Office on 01225 448844 or visit www.theatreroyal.org.uk
