Bath-based Japanese restaurant Robun has announced the launch of its brand Gatsu Menu; a monthly changing set menu, featuring special dishes that reflect both seasonality and creativity.

Taking inspiration from the seamless intertwining of past, present and future in Japanese culture – respecting tradition while forging ahead into the future – Robun’s Gatsu menu will bring new dishes to the table each month, showcasing the kitchen’s latest creations using techniques rooted in Japanese culinary tradition.

Literally translated as ‘Month’, the word ‘Gatsu’ also means ‘Moon’, which is a well-known symbol of the rhythm of time in Japan. Each month is simply represented by a number, from 1-Gatsu (January) through to 12-Gatsu (December).
