There is just one month to go until Bristol’s Clean Air Zone starts on Monday 28 November, aiming to make the city a healthier and more pleasant place to live and work.
Businesses that need more time to prepare can still apply for financial support from the council and eligible staff can apply for temporary exemptions by going to the online exemptions portal. Please check if your vehicle is chargeable via this link and take a look at Bristol City Council’s Clean Air Zone exemption pages before applying.
Once live, the zone will be in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the daily charge will run from midnight to midnight. You can pay online or by phone six days before and six days after entering the zone. Businesses may also want to consider setting up and using the business accounts feature via the government website to make it easier to pay for fleet vehicles that incur a charge.
You can find out more about the zone, where it covers and how it works by going to www.bristol.gov.uk/caz or by visit www.cleanairforbristol.org for more on Bristol’s plans for cleaner air.
