The Grand Appeal – the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity and leading homelessness charity St Mungo’s have been chosen as the Christmas Markets first ever charity partners for the very popular market that returns to the Bristol Shopping Quarter from 4th November to 23rd December.
The organisers have installed beautifully illuminated Christmas units inviting guests to take a free selfie as a memory of their visit to the Christmas Market, and to make a donation to one of the two charities, using contactless payment units.
Helen Haskell, Corporate Partnerships Manager, The Grand Appeal, comments "Bristol’s Christmas market has become a firm, festive favourite. As the dedicated charity for the children’s hospital, we’re thrilled to be one of its charity partners. The money raised will help make life better for children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital, not just at Christmas but all year round"
Alexandra Henden, St Mungo’s Fundraising Coordinator for Bristol, said: "At St Mungo’s we help people all over Bristol who are facing homelessness, every day. That’s why we are so thankful for partnerships like this which help to fund our vital services in the city. As Christmas approaches, and the weather starts to get colder, the kind donations we receive from people visiting the market will really help to make every night someone’s last night on the streets"
Kelly Yates, Event Manager at German Events Ltd, says "we are delighted to be back in Bristol, and are pleased to be able support the valuable work that our chosen charities do in the community"
Visitors can enjoy free entry to the market and experience a wide range of food and drinks whilst enjoying live music in our Jager Barn, all under the sparkling Christmas lights.
For customers looking for something special for a work or friends’ night out, guests can book one of the heated Ski Gondolas or Igloos these are really popular, so pre booking is recommended.
The market is situated in the heart of the Bristol Shopping Quarter. Open every day from 10am -10pm. The gift and craft stalls are open 10am-7pm
