Bird in the Window tours to Bath’s Egg Theatre on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October, bringing a surreal, physical theatre show with lots of laughs, tears, and musical surprises.
Co-directed and co-written by Jameela Kahn and Umar Butt, this joyous performance follows Raheem, who finds himself packing away items into boxes in his childhood home one evening, when an old feathery friend turns up. Steve arrives to help Raheem, but ends up making an absolute magical mess of all his memories.
Tackling the important subject of grief in an accessible way, Bird in the Window tells the story of a son coming to terms with the loss of his father by embarking on a fantastical journey with an old friend.
This energetic show, about the fun times we spend together and how those memories stay with us, is recommended for children aged 5 years and over.
