Volunteers at Weston-super-Mare's Helicopter Museum have been hard at work constructing a haunted graveyard in the Museum's new Visitor Services Building ready for a special Family Fun-Day taking place on 23 October.

Visitor Services Manager Tom Umpleby said: “We really have lots planned for families to see and do throughout the day."

“As well as our ‘Haunted Graveyard,' the highlight of the day will be the Giant Bubble Shows that take place in the morning and afternoon.”

“Professional Bubbleologists will be on-site encapsulating groups of children in giant bubbles, as well as performing some very interesting Halloween themed bubble trickery.”

“To mark the 40th Anniversary of the film E.T there will also be an interactive Photo opportunity for visitors to recreate the famous bicycle scene from the movie with their favourite Extra-Terrestrial on board.”

“Also, for Ghostbusters fans, Slimer the Ghost will be on site and for Dinosaur lovers, a display of cheeky prehistoric ankle biters will be hiding in the museum.”

Other activities taking place through-out the day will include Helicopter Flights, Open Cockpits (including the Russian Helicopter featured in recent Marvel Studios film ‘Black Widow’), facepainting, magic demonstrations and the chance to meet some creepy characters.

The Helicopter Museum's Halloween Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 23 October, offering free entry for all children in Halloween fancy dress.
