Local organisation Treasure Hunt is encouraging new university students in Bristol and Bath to take part in their self-guided tours, which aim to give participants an introduction to the most iconic landmarks in both cities.

Treaure Hunt aims to provide new students with an easy means of getting acquainted with the people and places in their new homes, while putting the knowledge of older students to the test. Their routes allow participants to discover the most iconic landmarks of both cities in addition to lesser-known highlights, leaving them feeling like true locals by the end of their experiences.

The hunts are designed for adults, and teams can be any size, although players can choose to split into smaller groups to see who can be first to solve the final clue. The experiences will test essential pirate skills, such as following maps, solving cryptic clues, and looking carefully around both cities to find answers. Participants will answer to 'Captain Bess,' their overbearing leader, who will send text messages to their phones and guide them along their way.

Treasure Hunt's routes in Bristol and Bath also strategically encompass great local pubs and cafes in both cities to allow participants to sample the local waters. Pirate fancy dress is optional.
