Visit West is deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Details of arrangements to mourn the Queen's passing in the region can be found below:
Bath & North East Somerset: Books of Condolence will be opened in the Guildhall, Keynsham Community Space and Midsomer Norton Library on Friday morning and remain open until Tuesday 20 September at 5pm. The mobile library also has a Book of Condolence for people to sign - its schedule can be found here. Floral tributes can be left at Parade Gardens in Bath, Keynsham Memorial Gardens and the Hollies Garden in Midsomer Norton. Further details can be found here.
On Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September, Bath Abbey will be open solely as a place of prayer, reflection, and mourning, from 8am. From 11- 16 September, the Abbey will continue to uphold its role as a place for people to come and pay their respects, while operating as normal for visitors. On the day of the funeral, the Abbey will once again open solely for prayer, reflection and mourning. For up-to-date information, please check the Abbey website.
Bristol: Floral tributes can be left at the West End of Bristol Cathedral, with books of condolence also available in the Cathedral and at City Hall alongside a Bristol e-book - full details here.
South Gloucestershire: Books of condolence will be opened in the council’s Badminton Road Offices, Yate and the Civic Centre, Kingswood, at 9am on Saturday 10 September - full details here.
North Somerset: The council will open Books of Condolence at the Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare and at Castlewood, Clevedon on Friday 9 September. Full details here.
