Bath will be brimming with bunting, afternoon teas, picnics, family entertainment and purple glowing illuminations of iconic buildings to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this Bank Holiday weekend.
Purple Reign – Lighting up the city

Enjoy an after-dinner stroll of Bath’s iconic buildings including Pulteney Bridge, The Guildhall, The Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, which will be a-glow with purple as the sun sets. (Free event).

The Big Jubilee Picnic event is part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the extended June bank holiday weekend. The event will take place on Sunday 5th June, 12pm to 5pm on the Lower Lawn of the Royal Crescent, Bath. You are invited to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee whilst enjoying the green space and child friendly activities provided. The event will include children's entertainment and activities from Super Pirate and Drum Runners, as well as free face painting and an arts and crafts tent. Free event.

Celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in the glorious gardens of The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa. Start your day the right way with breakfast at Bill’s and opt for the Jubilee Royal with toasted English muffin with smoked salmon, spinach, golden poached eggs, Prosecco hollandaise and shavings of truffle. For later, what could be more British than Fish and Chips? Bill’s will be serving up their very own Cod Save the Queen merging two classic British favourites and featuring a crispy cod goujon burger with lemon mayo, crushed peas, pickled red onions and rosemary fries, all wrapped in bespoke branded royal newspaper. Sip on regal tipples, including The Crown Jewel with Beefeater Gin, Elderflower, Raspberry, and mint.
Passing the Royal Baton
Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay to visit Bath Tuesday 5 July
The Queen’s Baton Relay is set to travel the length and breadth of England for a total of 29 days, before culminating at the Opening Ceremony for Birmingham 2022 on 28 July 2022. Kicking off on Thursday 2 June, the Baton will spend four days in London, coinciding with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend. The Baton will then resume the international journey and return to England on Monday 4 July to commence a 25-day tour of the regions. On Tuesday 5 July Bath will officially welcome the Baton visiting the Royal Crescent and The Roman Baths.
