With the eagerly awaited new series of Bridgerton launching on Netflix Friday 25th March, visitors are expected to flock to the quintessential British city of Bath to explore the film locations used in the period drama. Two of the most prominent Bath hotels, The Bird and Homewood, are poised to welcome guests, offering the best in city and country settings with a walking tour package.

Beautiful Bath became internationally famous following the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, with viewers around the world falling back in love with the regency era. Famed for its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, much of the city’s charm is down to distinctive golden coloured Bath stone buildings, period lamp-posts, stone-paved streets and 18th century British architecture, providing the wonderful appearance of going back in time.

But step into either of The Kaleidoscope Collection’s hotels, Homewood and The Bird, and you’ll be met with the eclectic and luxurious interiors with a sense of playful eccentricity.

Homewood, a quintessential Georgian country house, is just 20 minutes outside of Bath surrounded by the enchanting Avon Valley with hedgerows and heavenly walks on its doorstep. The hotel features quirky interiors with creative artworks, unique dining domes, an award-winning spa and heated outdoor swimming pool. Lavish, with distinct personalities, bedrooms range from comfy doubles to cool hot tub suites, both in the main house and the ravishing Mallingford Mews.

Within walking distance to many of the filming locations including Bath’s famous and most striking landmark, Royal Crescent, lies flamboyant boutique hotel, The Bird. Colourful, with bold designs and statement artwork, the hotel oozes English charm with a creative and lively atmosphere. The hotel promises fresh, local produce in its restaurant Plate - a popular destination for locals. And a stay wouldn’t be complete without savouring a truly Bridgerton experience with an indulgent Afternoon Tea.

As Bridgerton fever hots up for Season Two, both hotels are eagerly awaiting fans by launching packages that include a walking tour of the famous filming locations. The 2-hour guided tour will promenade the cobbled streets and visit Lady Danbury’s House, The Featherington’s abode, The Gunter’s tea shop and Lady Dee’s Hat Emporium and many more.

Ashley Ely, General Manager of The Bird hotel has witnessed first-hand the furore after Bath starred in Bridgerton, the most streamed TV series in 2021: “When they were filming Bridgerton in Bath initially we weren’t quite sure what to think. But since the first episode was released, Bath has been injected with a new lease of life! There are coach loads and large groups of tourists hitting the hot spots, and naturally a hotel full of excitable guests from out-of-town revelling in the epitome of quintessential British living. Needless to say, the champagne afternoon tea trade has sky-rocketed and we are only too glad to welcome in clientele from all over the world who are here to seek a slice of the Regency era.”
